He has a super-healing ability that makes him incredibly resistant to harm, chemicals and poisonous gasses. WOLVERINE worked as a secret agent for the Canadian government but would not follow their protocol. He severed his ties with the government and joined Professor Charles Xavier's mutant group, the X-Men.
