TESTING GROUNDS 1.     Passage to Kalistes Land 2.     Barracks / Rest Place 3.     Drider Pens 4.     I Test 5.     II Test 6.     III Test 7.     IV Test 8.     V Test 9.     VI Test 10.  VII Test 11.  Daggers 12.  Altar Room 13.  Ward of Safe Passage 14.  Trap Now  it’s  time  to  get  some  useful  weapons.  Hit  all  the  corner  rooms  at  2  and  disband  the  drow forces. After each battle check for some treasure before leaving. You may encounter drow guard posts in this level but you can select your thief to sneak past and kill them. Watch out for random drow encounters here, remember that you can always use the rooms at 2 as a rest place after you clean them. Now open the four rooms at 3 to release the driders and obtain some useful information then rest and heal. Now  it’s  time  to  sustain  the  tests  so  enter  the  room at 4 to begin them. Remember to check the treasure after each battle and that you can rest in each room after cleaning it. TEST 1 – ROOM 4 – Approach these walls and select your strongest character to push them. TEST 2 – ROOM 5 – When asked choose “Push Forward” to pass. TEST 3 – ROOM 6 – Fight ten driders. TEST 4 – ROOM 7 – Fight nine assorted drows. TEST 5 – ROOM 8 – A riddle, type “BANE” to solve it. TEST 6 – ROOM 9 – A firewall, walk through it and sustain some damage to pass. TEST 7 – ROOM 10 – Fight ten driders. The tests end so rest and heal then enter the room at 11. Disband the drow troop then pick up the daggers, one for character, before proceeding to 12. Disband other drows here then rest. Approach the room at 13 then save. Enter and prepare for a two time battle. The first wave consists in big band of drows with some spiders. Use your typical strategy to win the battle then use your healing spell (continue the battle if you need it) to prepare your party for the second wave. You must fight Shest now along with many pets of Kalistes so cast all the “Fireball” based spells that you have to quickly end the battle. When all is over Dennia will leave you but you can retrieve the Rune of Safe Passage. Now the spiders are more reticent when decide to attack you. Leave the grounds and refer to  the  previous  page  to  explore  the  other  buildings.  When  you  enter  the  passage  to  the  Kalistes Parlor situated in the Village at location 9 go to the next page to continue your journey.
