You’ll meet Elminster again. After the speech get the powerful Vorpal Sword from Shal then use
the mage to rest, heal and train. When you’re ready “Move On” “Down the Rope” and return to
Zhentil Keep to identify all your treasure. Now get back to the tower but you’ll be intercepted by
Phlan Guards. Help them and fight a tough battle with mages and white dragons. When the fight is
over you’ll find yourself back to Phlan now situated under the surface. Leave Kuto’s Well and enter
the main city. (Note that you can refer to the previous two maps to navigate this section). Enter the
town hall to meet Shal again. Accept to help her and return to Kuto’s Well.
Wander a bit
to fight some monsters then enter
the building at 13 to save a
family. This will
probably end your mission (the game will tell you) so return to the town hall to communicate your
victory to Shal. You can now leave this area by crossing the west gates in Kuto’s Well. Back to the
World Map re-enter the tower but this time you’re able to “Climb the Rope” and enter the Limbo.
As for the other two times open the “Storage” and leave all your gear here before proceeding then
select “Move On” and enter the World of Moander.
You’ll find yourself in a large depression (described below).
This world is infested by bits of Moander, that you should evade, and groups of assorted humans
like dark lords, banite clerics, red mages and black mages.
When you encounter a human band you should attack it. This is a good way to receive some useful
weapons because you’re naked again.
You can rest and heal anywhere but it’s very difficult to remain undisturbed here. It’s better to wait
for a safely place inside one of the buildings or make a trip back through the portal.

buildings, except for the Heart,
are described on the next page.
Follow the instructions
carefully and soon you’ll be well equipped and ready to dispatch another Bane’s Lieutenants.
