Q: What does this thingy do?
A: It allows you to plan how many points you can put into each skill without running out of skill points when all those +maxskill-items start pouring in.
Q: I don't want to click the buttons 20 times until my skills are maxed!
A: You can Shift-Click the + and - buttons.
Q: When will the most recent version be supported?
A: usually after the official release. I will not support beta-versions, pre-releases or similar. Since I don't play MXL any more, I probably won't notice new releases right away - send me a PM on the forums if that happens.
Q: Can I plan a character with legacy items/charms?
A: Not with this planner. That's intentional.
Q: Can I save my character?
A: This is a planner, not a cheating tool. It will not create a character for you to play with.
However, you can save your skill-plan, so you can look at it later, show it to your friends or link it in your guide. Just enter a name, hit the save button, then follow the instructions.
Q: Can I use this tool offline?
A: Sure. Hit "File" -> "Save Page As" to make a local copy. You can also download Full documentation in HTML format which includes this calculator. Please note that you can only save your skill plans in the online version.
Q: How much damage will my skills do?
A: I don't know, and my planner won't tell you.
Try the Skill Progression Project, although that's incomplete and partially outdated.
Q: Some Skill-Icons are wrong!
A: Some Skill-Icons changed in newer patches. This calculator will always use the most current icon for each skill.
Q: I noticed a bug or have a suggestion
A: Go ahead, post in this thread. I'll make sure to fix any serious bugs.
Q: I cannot put Points into "Light and Shadow"
A: That's how the game worked before Omega 002. Pick any of the Light or Dark Level 1 skills first.
Q: Can I offer this tool on my homepage or similar?
A: Not without my permission. Contact me first.
Q: Who should I thank for this nifty tool?
A: Brother Laz of course, because he created the mod and the skill icons. :p
I (Tub) just spent a couple of hours to hack a little 1000-line script together, hoping that others might find it as useful as I do.
