This is for all the pack rats and hamsters out there!
In the previous version we already had an expanded stash. Version 4 takes
storing items 2 steps further!
The item compressor allow you to compress any armor or Weapon in to a tiny
ritual stone. This makes it possible for you to collect allot more items. Im
aware that you can use plugy for infinite stash but plugy does not work for mac
users.
To the point this is how the compressor works:
|
You put your item in to the cube
along with a Ritual stone and press transmute. In image1 we se an
example where Rusthandle unique armor is in the horadric cube along with
a Ritual stone, After transmuting the item is packed in to the ritual
stone as you can se in image |

2. To reverse the process put the
stone in to the cube along with A ritual stone reverses item and the
process is reversed, meaning you get the armor back! |
Image above is Mavina's armor in a compressed state: |
The ritual stones and reverser
stones can be bought from npcs.
By compressing weapons and armors you might loose a little defense or
armor from the base items as the item is rerolled when uncompressing,
however there are cube recipes to compensate for this:
Another
note: When you compress items that have something socketed in to it,
the socketed item will be unsocketed and your runes gems or jewels will
be output along with the compressed item! Another imperfection is a 1x1
item can only store 1 socket so if your item has more than 1 sockets
those will be lost when uncompressed. However there are scrabble
recipes that allow you to add new sockets.

This feature became available in d2scrabble mod version 4 and 1.13 patch.

Version 4 also takes care of gem storage in for of a gem
bag that you can buy from Akara. It works fairly simple, you put a gem +
gem bag in the cube to ad a gem to the bag, to extract a gem you buy a
corresponding gem lantern from Gheed and transmute it in the Horadric
cube with the gem bag!
In version 5 there are also bags for runes and letter items, both work
the same way as the gem bag, only extractor items differ! |
