ForceMod III v1.01 released
The ForceMod III version 1.01 patch has been released to www.pcgamemods.com, www.lucasfiles.com, and www.jk3files.com.
Updates will be posted here as the sites provide links to the files.
Brad Oliver created the Mac files, and in a first-time experiment has created them in a way that allows PC and Mac players to play on the same server.
This requires the Mac Jedi Academy patch 1.01c, which is currently in a stable beta form available at Brad's blog site.
I've been so busy at home that it's taken much longer to release the patch than I could've anticipated.
Thank you for your patience, and Happy Holidays!

Mac version
of ForceMod III
It's official now:
ForceMod III v1.01 will be
ported to the Mac.
Brad Oliver (the same
guy responsible for
porting JKA to the Mac)
has generously offered
to port ForceMod III
over so that you Mac
users can play too.
This will happen once
the 1.01 patch code
is ready, and it will
be released simultaneously
with the patch.
Sorry about the wait,
but it's finally coming!

1.01 Patch beta
sent to testers
Links to a beta version
of the 1.01 patch have
just been emailed. Here's
a forum
thread discussing
the fixes in the patch
as well as containing
the testers' feedback.

1.01 Patch underway
The initial release
of ForceMod III was
better than expected.
All the major filesites
have now posted the
files. I hope everyone
out there is enjoying
it! A number of bugs
and balance issues are
already being dealt
with in an upcoming
patch. I'm in the process
of moving and getting
a new job in Colorado,
so it may be a few more
weeks. Until the patch
is released, you can
head over to the forums
to discuss workarounds
for present bugs, offer
suggestions on balance
issues, and report any
new bugs.
If you're wishing that
ForceMod III supported
the Siege gametype,
check out Movie
Battles II - it's
a masterful combination
of Team Fortress and
Counterstrike in the
Star Wars universe.
July 29th,
2004 - ForceMod
III has gone gold!!!
ForceMod III is now packaged
and has been released to major
filesites. I will post links
to sites as they become available.
The entire site has been updated
to reflect the final features
available in the game, so
you can poke around and check
them out while you're waiting.
Thanks for your patience everyone,
I hope you enjoy it! Check
the Download page for links
to file sites hosting the
mod.

The final beta has been released.
Small patches will follow
as the balance between classes
and weapons is fine-tuned,
but the content is basically
complete. The beta testers
are posting in this
thread on what's left
to do before the public release.

The forums
have been reorganized, thanks
to Wudan. There are new sections
for specific types of posts
so you can find what you're
looking for a little easier.
Head
on over and check 'em
out.

The 2nd beta patch was released
today. Though there are a
few bugs that slipped through,
this release is the most solid
yet. Almost all of the content
is done, and the first linux
server files were released
with this build as well.

Sorry about the lack of updates, but I want to let everyone know that the beta is progressing very nicely.
Though there aren't any new screenies, the screenshots page has been revamped, courtesy of the mighty Wudan.
I've also updated the Classes and Gadgets pages with new information.

Some of you have already
noticed that the forums were
up before I'd posted anything.
Kyle Kellahshehskee has added
some excellent new screenshots
as well.

A few screenshots are
up now. Internal alpha
testing has progressed
well, and a small, privately
distributed beta version
of ForceMod III is nearing
release.

Today is the first
upload of the new site;
I'd like to thank Wudan
again for hosting. The
screenshots aren't online
yet, and all the information
is subject to change
as development continues,
but 95% should
remain unchanged. I'll
post updates on ForceMod
III's development and
release dates soon.
Also, please inform
me of any broken links/typos
that you find.
