Normally the "S" type beams are mounted on cruisers and corvettes, but since the GVC Mentu and GVC Aten have no anti-capital beams, and the GVCv Sobek is armed with VSlash "slashing" beams, the only place this beam cannon finds itself is as a secondary armament on Vasudan destroyers, a pity, since it's the most effective small beam in the game.
