Weapons and Equipment

As 47, you'll acquire a variety of weapons which vary in weight and firepower. Before entering a new mission, 47 can choose from his current selection of weapons stored in his shed. One point to keep in mind, 47 can carry an indefinite amount of weapons (a few of which can be concealed, see below for more details) ? however, only one gun of any particular type can be held in either hand respectively. Thus, you can carry one large gun (i.e. Sniper) and a pistol. You can not equip large guns, so if you've already carrying one and pick up a new gun of the same type, you'll drop the first one.

In addition, some of the equipment will be used for more than one mission. The following is a breakdown of each type respectively?

Close Combat
Kitchen Knife, Combat Knife, Scalpel, Fiberwire

Small, lightweight, and easily concealable. Close combat weapons such as knives and fiber wire allow 47 to execute near silent kills. This doesn't mean however that they will guarantee instant death ? especially if you're not a master of stealth. These are most recommended for the real professionals. Note: To execute a silent kill, approach the target from behind; make sure 47 is in Sneak Mode so as not to alert your designated target. Solid Snake would be proud!

Handguns
Ballers, Ballers SD (silencer equipped), Deagle, 9mm Pistol, 9mm Pistol SD (silencer equipped), Revolver, .54 pistol, .22 pistol

Lightweight and easily concealable, pistols and revolvers are perfect for close--range kills (unfortunately, their only drawback is that they make a lot of noise unless you've got a silencer equipped). While the manual recommends the Silverballers, which deliver added firepower, I've regularly relied on the Pistol SD and switch periodically, depending on the situation.

Sub--Machine Guns (SMG)
SMG, SMG--D6 (silencer equipped), AK, Uzi, M60, M4

Concealable and designed for intense fire fights when stealth is no longer an option. Just make sure you've got a few other weapons handy due to the SMG's high rate of fire. You don't want to be caught out in the open with an empty clip (or a lack of ammo for that matter).

Shotguns
Shotgun, SP12, Sawn--Off Shotgun

Capable of delivering a devastating effect at close range. However, its accuracy and damage are compromised when fired over longer distances. Standard shotguns can not be concealed.

Rifles and Scoped Weapons
R93 Sniper, SVD Sniper, Crossbow, M195, W2000 Rifle, Custom Rifle

Large and precise, the rifles are best used over distance. As highlighted earlier, 47 is capable of only handling one rifle at a time. Bear in mind that rifles can not be concealed, especially if your aim is to navigate any area in stealth fashion.

The sniper rifles (including other types with scopes equipped) are highly precise and extremely powerful long--range weapons.

Misc. Weapons
Golf club, Katana Sword, Fire Axe

Hitman 47 features a few other weapons which aren't necessarily essential (or even recommended) for use, but are available in certain levels when you eliminate certain targets, such as the Ninjas in the Shogun Showdown level. At they very least, they provide an additional fun factor and diversity in the game in case you're looking for a unique challenge. Tap the action button to swing the weapons, or press harder for a more powerful attack.

Binoculars
An excellent tool used to easily identify targets and plan safe routes to navigate throughout each mission. (Refer to the Camera controls for additional details).

Map
Your most essential tool used to find your way throughout each area, above and below ground. Using the map displays all the information for any designated level in each mission and allows for precise planning and execution of a hit.

Special Items
Occasionally, the Agency will supply you with a range of special items for use on certain missions (i.e. the car bombs issued for the Kirov Park mission).
