Protect
the van at the truck stop until Taurus can start
it up! |
|
|
|
As soon as the mission begins,
you'll see three creepers coming in from the
north: a police cruiser followed by two police
vans. Drive up the hill to meet them and try to
get them after you - your primary objective, once
again, is to protect the van. One particularly
effective technique is to play chicken with the
cruiser. Drive straight at it, then sideswipe him
as he swerves. He'll careen off the road, giving
you time to engage the vans.
It'll take some work to dispose of all three
creepers, but it's best if you can do it as
quickly as possible. Once the van takes off,
you're going to need to be with it. Every creeper
you leave behind will follow you, and there's
plenty to keep you occupied along the highway. |
Escort
and defend the van to the county line! |

Skeeter and
Taurus need you |
|
Once Taurus gets the van started, he and Skeeter
will head south on 285. If any of the first three
creepers are still up and running, get rid of
them quickly. Pass the van on the highway. In the
open field just beyond the first hill you'll
encounter two heavily armed police cruisers.
Ideally, you'll take the first out before the van
even reaches the field. The second cop should be
less of a problem, but make sure he concentrates
his fire on you and not the van.
If all of the creepers are gone, you can put some
distance between yourself and the van. If not,
stay with it, laying land mines and firing
DrRadar missiles until any cops in pursuit are
out of commission.
Further south, you'll encounter two groups of two
cruisers each. Along the road are two ravines.
Use these to your advantage by getting the police
into the ditches and allowing the van to pass by
in relative safety. You need to take each of
these cops out as quickly as possible when you
encounter them. If the van passes you while
you're engaged, make sure you stay with it and
concentrate on any creeper in hot pursuit,
littering the road with mines for any creeper
left behind. Ideally there won't be any - the
cops along the road will aim their fire primarily
at the van, and it won't stand much damage.
Once the van makes it to the county line, you're
home free. |
