This section attempts to deal with some common problems that might occur when using mapmixer. I will update this list as more examples become available.
Note If UT2004 exits unexpectedly, the very first thing you should do is check the UT Log file (...UT2004\System\UT2004.log). If you look near the end of this file, it will most likely reveal what caused UT to exit abnormally.
If you are using a version of UT2004 previous to v3339 and you enable the MapMixer Config Shortcut in the Main Menu or switch on the MapMixer Loading Screen then you will get "Incompatible Game File" warning messages when trying to connect to an on-line server. Switch off both these options to enable on-line play. The best solution is to make sure you have at least v3339 patch installed.
Anti-Cheat mutators exist to make sure that everyone connected to a Server is using the same setup and nothing has been altered that could create an advantage directly or indirectly to each player on that server. If you connect to a Server that uses one of these Anti Cheat mutators then you may be issued with a warning regarding MapMixer in the following instances:
If you disable these two Options and then reconnect to the server you should be fine. Of course MapMixer is not applying any cheat or doing anything unsavoury behind the scenes, it's just that the Anti-Cheat mutator is detecting that either of the two options above have modified a standard UT2004 setting. If you wish to keep these options enabled when not playing on-line, one way to get around this is to keep two UT2004.ini files and just use each one for each occasion.
MapMixer v2.x unfortunately does not support the Web Admin interface as it did in the past. This is because of a major problem with the UT2004 Mutator Configuration Interface. Until Epic fix this problem, MapMixer will not be able to expose any properties to the Web Admin. However, you can still use MapMixer console commands.
