CSGT is proud to present 1970 The World Sportscar Championship
This is composed of three mods
The World Sportscar Championship 1970 mod which consists of a selection of cars representative of the typical lineup at most of the WSC1970 races
Le Mans 1970 mod which consists of 48 of the 51 starters at the 1970 Le Mans race
Classic Sportscar and Grand Touring 1970 mod which is a combination of both of the above mods plus many more cars which have varying paint jobs. This combination of cars never ran together historically but provides you the chance to see what would have happened if the long tails had run with the hillclimbers at any track or any other combinations you can come up with.

Car modeling by Gunnar333, Marco F., and NEChris. See the individual car
folders for credits for each car.
Our cars are RealFeel compatible (see the RealFeel readme for more
information). These cars are designed to run with no assists like the
originals. Using assists may produce unexpected results and interfere
with the relative performance of the cars, depending on your settings.
We strongly recommend that you turn off the vocals, hud, and all assists
if you want to feel what these cars were really like and immerse
yourself in the period. A clutch and H box shifter are recommended as
well although autoshift will work if you want it.
The mod is a historical re-creation not modern Historicals cars, as such
our cars are not easy to drive at the limits nor are they balanced
within the classes. The cars reflect the technology of 1970, tyres have
much less grip, brakes are not as effective as modern brakes, and
downforce is negligible.

We have not found any way of producing results by class other than the
method used here. It is a little clunky for car selection but the
results display does show the place in class.
Conversion or modification of the World 1970 Sportscar Championship Mod for rFactor
is not allowed, whatever the destination platform.

Skins are possible but not simple.
Export the MAS files.
Open the chassis gmt files and identify the textures.
Export the textures as bmp files.
Edit them.
Convert the edited bmp files to dds.
Pack the new dds files back up in the MAS file.

Hi!! I Love this mod!!
But I don´t know what happens because when I install it, I cannot have access to any other mod or cars but 1970 WSCC.
I had once to reinstall the complete rfactor to be able to drive other mods, but I was missing this one and once installed, all my other mods are again out of my list.
How can I fix it please??

I found a way to change the behaviour of these cars, preventing them to overshoot the corners.
In the gamedata\verhicles\csgt\wsc70\... folder you find all the cars. Look in these car folders for the *.hdv files. Open it with notepad and look for the line:
AIPerfUsage=(1.0, 1.0, 1.0) // PLR file.
I changed it to
AIPerfUsage=(0.900, 0.900, 0.900) // PLR file.
After this the cars behaved beter.

Great Models and skins car physics suck!!! I know you put a lot of work into this but the cars from that era didn't drive that bad my 67 Ram Air Firebird handled like a dream around the corners and didn't slide around like these do. While my car was a race car these cars in this mod should handle better!!!

Hopefully there will be a fix to the AI. I can imagine that the idea is to get as close as the real thing. But the 5L class cars (917, 512) are at the point of no go, when it comes to racing them in a offline race. I havent seen a single track in wich they work.
Missing braking points, lacking grip, sometimes even completely out of control in twisty parts.
Driving them myself is a different story, i love the 917K. It is after the Alfa Tipo my favorite car. With a 917L i reached 362km/h or 224mph at the end of the long straight at my track, the Hondsrugring.
