Day 765--Clone Wars - Kashyyyk
The Rescue of Tarfful
Find Slaver Camp
After you make landfall here, you'll have to start maneuvering through the suspiciously corridor-like underbrush of Kashyyyk towards the slaver camp. After you dispatch a pair of sentries, you'll come to it; there are a pair of sniper spots overlooking the main door, along with a rocket turret off to the right. You'll need to kill the Trando manning this turret with your sniper rifle if you want to place one of your troopers inside, but if you do so, you'll have two snipers and a turret on your side, allowing you to breach the door in relative safety.
Infiltrate Slaver Camp
Although it'll appear that the main threat will be coming out of the main door here, in actuality, you're going to be facing an influx of baddies from the side of the sniper positions, so stay near that wall and start shooting them as the Trandos come over. Your rocket turret will do most of the heavy lifting, so concentrate your fire on anyone who gets set into a position to threaten your snipers. When the hostiles have been eliminated, your teammates will automatically leave their positions, allowing you to walk into the camp without a problem.
Ha, ha; if only that were the case. As you walk down the corridor leading to the camp, you'll be trapped by falling walls behind and in front of you. When Advisor gives you the location for charges, instruct someone to lay them down, then blow the wall and head through to reach the next level.
Hard Contact
Secure Landing Pad
In order to get into the slaver facility, you'll need to secure a kind of beachead on the landing pad near your start point here. To do so, crawl out of the small tunnel, shoot out the spotlight, and place your squaddies in the two sniper spots in the area. They'll help you take down the annoying scav droids, which will soon start popping up over the walls here. Soon enough, you'll get another charge point, so instruct your free squaddie to place explosives. You're going to have to deal with the scavs in the meantime, and although your snipers are good shots, they're not always going to hit, so keep your blaster by your side and shoot down any scavs that manage to get behind your teammates.
When the charge is ready to go, blow the wall, then chuck all of your thermal detonators into the corridor beyond; there's another box on the far side that'll fill you right back up. Be sure to kill the Trandos on the catwalks before charging in, though, as they're able to shoot down through their floor to hit you from above.
Around the next corner, you'll come across your first Wookiee, and a big guy he is, too. I guess Chewbacca was unnaturally skinny for his race, because these guys are huge! This first Wookiee will disappear pretty quickly, but he'll leave behind his bowcaster, should you desire one. Anyone familiar with the bowcaster of the Jedi Knight games will be familiar with the basic functions of this weapon; clicking fire will send out a low-power bolt, while holding down the button will charge the weapon, allowing you to shoot out a more powerful projectile that can pin your enemies to walls (a la the stake gun in Painkiller) or bounce off of walls to hit enemies around corners. It's a nice pickup, and will probably be more useful than either of the Trando weapons that you've come across so far.
Identify Incoming Ship
After the Wookiee takes off, you'll have to move around the corner from whence he came and penetrate the tower nearby to get a glimpse of the incoming ship for Advisor. The entrance to the tower is going to be crawling with a seemingly endless supply of Trandos, but since you have a box of thermals at hand, feel free to charge in after throwing them into the entrance. It's just like a breach, save without those annoying doors. Inside, you'll find a trio of bacta dispensers, which is going to be useful, considering you haven't seen one since the beginning of the level.
When you're fresh and ready to go, run up the ramp here and get an eyeball of the incoming ship. When you're ready to move on, place a charge on the nearby barricade and get ready to finish off the level. There will be plenty of scav droids coming at you while the charge is being laid, though, so after you blow it, return your party down to the bacta dispensers and heal them up before running through the exit.
