MUTATIONS (Release 1.1.2)

A FAN MADE DEUS EX MISSION

Downloads and installation notes

Version 1.1.2 incorporates a few minor enhancements. The changes do not greatly affect game play. There is no reason to download this version and restart the game. This release also includes
the SHIFTER fix which should allow it to run with SHIFTER 1.8.1.

Download MutationsSetup_V112.exe  to a convenient location on your system and execute to install MUTATIONS Version 1.1.2 (See below for important installation notes).

Installation Notes:

THE NSIS MUTATIONS INSTALLER WILL NOT OVERWRITE ORIGINAL DEUS EX GAME FILES.

  •  During the install procedure, when asked for the Destination Folder, be sure to point to your current Deus Ex folder.
  • The Mutations installer will install the following files into your DeusEx/System folder:
        Mutations.Exe
        Mutations.ini
        MutationsUser.ini
        Mutations.int
        Mutations.log
        CaroneElevator.u (If not already installed)
A DeusEx/Mutations folder will be created which has the maps, scriptfiles, saved games, and readme files. Shortcuts and a Desktop icon will be installed.

Uninstalling DeusEx: Mutations

When unstalling Mutations, all DeusEx/System MUTATION files listed above (except CaroneElevator.u ), all shortcuts, the desktop icon, and the DeusEx/Mutations folder (including saved games) will be removed.

Video Configuration

If you get "Cannot find Dx.dx" or "Cannot load DX.dx", you will need to change your video configuration. This happens occasionally and I don't know exactly what causes it.

You change your 3D rendering device by using shortcut "Start-Programs-Mutations-Change 3D Render Device". Do not  relaunch Deus Ex from the final screen, Select cancel instead. This will still change your selected rendering device for MUTATIONS. Now relaunch Mutations via the desktop icon.

Note: You cannot change your 3D rendering device within Mutations. You must use                     the shortcut provided.
