Greetings Deus Ex Fans!
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Charles Russell, also known on the internet as Terthos. I have been an ardent fan of Deus Ex since its release in 2000. None of you will know me, but I have been visiting DX mod sites for 8 years. Let's make it clear that while my professional background is in electronics, I have never been employed as a professional programmer, graphics artist, modeler, texture designer, mapper, storyteller, voice actor, or any other position which would be conducive to creating a mod for Deus Ex. As such, I do not call MUTATIONS a mod, but more appropriately a fan made mission. MUTATIONS was never intended to be released publicly.
I hope it encourages others to explore their potential. So, if you are a fan of the original Deus Ex game, why not take MUTATIONS for a test drive. You'll find an intro sequence, several playable maps, conversations, cut sequences, and an ending sequence. Best of all, it won't overwrite your existing files. Check out the features page.
To satisfy your curiosity here are some in game screenshots.

It wouldn't be real without a FAQ page.
A set of 6 single player maps for the Deus Ex die hard. In this Fan-Made mission, MJ12 has recovered an unknown chemical substance from a crashed space probe. You play as JC Denton, a trained augmented agent, as Gary Savage, provisional director of UNATCO, sends you on a mission to disrupt illegal genetic experiments. You must find your way through 2 dungeon like levels, possibly fighting off mutants created by MJ12 scientists, to reach the main underground complex where the experiments are conducted.
Since this is a small mission, not every weapon and augmentation is available. While not explicitly designed with stealth in mind, there are a few areas where stealth activity might be exploited, but if you don't act quickly it can turn against you. You start with certain skills set to "Trained". These skills can be further developed during the course of the game play. Other skills are set to "Master". There are no initial skill points. You earn skill points during game play. Selecting the difficulty level immediately takes you to the intro cinematic. Playing "Easy/Medium" or "Hard/Realistic" affects availability of items in the first map.
