The APC is a flying platform used to deploy troops (that is, tiny soldiers) at whatever location you desire. The plus side is that the troops are hard to detect because of their relative size in comparison with the larger vehicles, and they can create a lot of havoc in a short period of time once inside a base. The downside is that the soldiers themselves are dead meat if they get in anyone's crosshairs, not to mention the APC, which is as prominent a defenseless floating target as you'll ever see in a game.

These craft are excellent flying artillery. They can attack targets at long distances that you won't be able to easily or quickly reach. They are a bit harder to shoot down than APCs, and you should use them to take out Power Lungs from various Scion structures as you see fit or to take out the stray unit or so you don't happen to like).
