Goal
Defend the walls and prevent the Dark from blasting a hole in the wall.
If any Dark forces do get through, make sure they don't penetrate deep into the city.

Walk-through
1. Remember that wall you had to break down in Level 15? Well, it's your turn to defend it. You will be defending against numerous probing attacks from Myrkridia and squads of Ghôls determined to pile up Satchel Charges along the wall's weak points. Your first priority should be to prevent the Ghôls from achieving their mission. Your second priority is to establish defenses of the two ramps leading up to the wall - much easier than trying to defend the wall itself.

2. First, however, you must survive the surprise attack. A pair of Giant Myrkridia will blow up the bars protecting the city's main door. MAP

3. As they retreat, a group of smaller Myrkridia will show up. Meet them in the narrow doorway with a massive mortar attack backed up by a line of Berserks. MAP

4. As this attack subsides, your reinforcements will arrive. Set up your pre-sets now with your new troops. Pull the Bowmen off the towers and split your entire force in half. Leave your Berserks inside, in a Long Line in front of the main entrance, to chase down anyone who gets past your defensive line. MAP

5. Your first task will be to deal with another rush of Myrkridia. No reason to treat them any differently than the other group. MAP

6. Immediately as this attack ends, send your two halves out to defend the weak points in the wall (half way down each wall, indicated by a V-shaped crack). MAP

Keep the Ghôls from piling Satchel Charges along the wall, and you should have little trouble defending this city.
7. You will need to defend against further Myrkridia attacks. Your primary concern, however, will be the Ghôls laying Satchel Charges, followed by bomb-throwing Giant Myrkridia. These massive creatures can't blow up the walls without an ample supply of Satchel Charges, so if you prevent the Ghôls from doing their job, the Myrkridia can't demolish the wall. If you have the time, use the Mortar Dwarves to pick up dropped Satchel Charges.

8. Keep your Trow alive; they are your best weapons against the Giant Myrkridia. Heal them often and use them in tandem whenever possible.

9. If the Dark manage to break a hole in the wall, cut off any invasion and guard the ramps for as long as you can. If you must, retreat inside the wall and set up your two unit groupings halfway between the main entrance and each breach in the wall. Swing these troops from side to side as attacks arrive, using your Dwarves to lob mortars into the gaps. MAP

10. Finally, remember that Soulless can be vaporized by a single lob of mortars. They'll be lucky to get a shot off. When all opposition is exhausted, your mission will be a success. MAP
