13. Before sending your entire force across the river, take a few moments to go on a recruiting trip. Send the Deceiver and a couple of Heron Guard across the shallow pass to the northeast of the face-rock to convert any units wandering near the shore. You should have no problem nabbing at least one Myrkridia and a Fetch. The Deceiver may take some punishment in this process, so keep him healthy. Browse around the rest of this landmass for more converts - kill anyone you can't woo. Be sure to rest the Deceiver after casting the Blinding Dream; it takes him a while to recover sufficiently to ensnare another unit. MAP

14. Head south, converting and murdering as you go until you find a shallow pass across the river; it's in the middle of the peninsula, facing to the northeast. MAP

15. Head north through this final landmass, bearing west as you reach the top of the map. More Myrkridia, Fetches, and Soulless patrol this area. MAP

16. Eventually, you will see a gathering of Myrkridia, Fetches, Soulless, and Giant Myrkridia to the north. Take a position on one of the high hills directly south of this congregation. MAP

17. Send a unit (preferably the Deceiver to convert one of the pack of Myrkridia) forward to draw this group down the hill and toward your troops. Be careful not to get caught in the Giant Myrkridia's bomb attack. MAP

18. As this attack passes, lick your wounds and prepare for the final attack. You will find the Tain Shard scantily defended now, but you will need to make sure that at least the Deceiver is in no danger of expiring. MAP

19. Send the Deceiver to grab the Shard and your units will transport to safety. MAP
