Your Units Warriors Bowmen Dwarves Enemy Units Brigands Ghasts Goals Locate and free the villagers Escort them to safety Walk-through 1. A torrential downpour greets you in this marshy road. Remember that your Dwarves will be unable to attack effectively until the weather lets up, so keep them in the rear until the rain stops. MAP 2. As you trudge down the path, keep your Bowmen on the high rises on either side of the path. If a Ghast manages to elude your sharpshooters, bring your Warriors forward to finish the job; just make sure you attack with at least a 3-to-1 ratio so you can continue to fight if a Ghast stuns one of your Warriors. MAP 3. Eventually, you will come to a crossroads with a road marker. You may see Ghasts and Brigands crossing the road ahead of you, but there is no guarantee they can see you in this pea soup. Take them out if they approach, but don't waste time chasing them into the swamps. Just be aware that they can return later, so watch your rear. About this time, you should be able to use your Dwarves in the light rain. MAP 4. Continue up the road to the north. Keep an eye out for small bands of Brigands. Your best bet against these slow, but well-armored, fighters is Dwarven grenades and a rush of Warriors. MAP 5. As you reach an arch, you will see a squad of Brigands taking shelter underneath. You must make sure none of these guards escape, or they will sound the alarm, bringing the full guard brigade to bear on your troops. Pause a bit before attacking the arch to allow any patrols to wander by and provide some target practice. MAP 6. Now set up your Dwarves facing the arch, stopping them just beyond throwing distance. Sneak your Warriors around the rear of the arch. As they come around, launch your Dwarf attack on the unsuspecting Brigands and retreat your Dwarf. The Warriors should have no trouble cleaning up whatever is left. MAP
8. Note that you are not expected to fight off the overwhelming force that is about to march down upon you. You must simply outrun your pursuers. MAP 9. Retreat down the path, making sure to keep your Warriors between the prisoners and the Dark army. If they get too close, turn one or two Warriors around to hold up the crowd. MAP 10. When you reach the end of the path, the computer will take control of your units - indicated by their change from green to blue in the map inset - and lead them and the liberated prisoners off the map.
