Walk-through 1. Alric has come armed for action. With the magical sword, Balmung, he is eager to slaughter Soulblighter and his minions. The sword inflicts massive damage and conducts electricity from the unit it strikes to every unit in the vicinity (including your own), daisy-chaining from one to the next. MAP 2. To your north and south, large forces of the Light wait to cross the river behind you. The computer controls these troops, but you will be able to "use" them even if you can't command them. 3. Before you do anything, you must cross the river. Set up a defensive line of Dwarves and Bowmen, backed by Heron Guard and Berserks. MAP 4. Send Alric into the river to meet the charging Thrall and Myrkridia masses. Keep him close to your shore of the river and let him hack away at any units that come near him. Keep your Bowmen alert for Wights that emerge from the deep water. MAP 5. Let your melee troops pick up any troops who get by Alric. MAP 6. While you are engaged in battle, the automated forces around you will be fighting similar assaults. 7. When the coast seems clear, you're not done yet. Walk Alric and a bunch of Berserks into the river, triggering any Thrall remaining underwater. Withdraw the Berserks and let Alric swing Balmung. MAP 8. Bring the Bowmen across the river to peck away at the Fetches waiting for your arrival. MAP 9. If any Heron Guards (yours or in the auxiliary armies) have dropped healing roots, run your troops over to pick them up. |
