Goal
Cover the entrance to the Library while the Journeyman retrieves the Total Codex. If all of your units leave the platform, you fail. Escort the Journeyman to the World Knot, to the southeast.

Walk-through
1. As you begin, your Journeyman enters the halls of the Great Library, high atop a platform. The platform has five approaches: one each from the north, northwest, west, southwest, and south. You must guard all of this area and never let all of your troops leave the platform until the Journeyman returns. MAP

2. Set up your troops according to type and be ready for a series of assaults from various directions. MAP

3. The first, Ghôls then Fetches, should come from the west. Take care of the Ghôls with Dwarves and Berserks and let your Bowmen snipe at the Fetches. MAP

4. The direction and contents of the remaining waves will depend on your skill level. Follow the same basic procedures as in the first attack: Make sure you keep Ghôls away from your weaker units and kill Fetches and Wights from as great a distance as possible. MAP

5. Watch your map display carefully to see where the next attack is coming from, and remember not to fixate on an enemy lurking around the perimeter; he may be trying to distract you from an attack from a different direction. MAP

6. Also, keep a very tight leash on all your units or they could rush off the platform or injure each other with friendly fire; these are tight confines up here, and you can do yourself more harm than good by letting your troops think for themselves. MAP

7. Be sure to preserve enough of your troops to handle a band of Soulless and Ghôls that guard the World Knot. MAP

8. When the Journeyman emerges, move your remaining force to the south to take the World Knot. Take out Soulblighter's guardians surrounding the Knot and race your entire force into it to exit this endurance test. MAP

9. As you make your break for freedom, a stupefyingly huge force will emerge from all directions. Pay them no mind … you'll be long gone by the time they arrive. MAP
