Walk-through
1. As this level opens, you see a sight of profound horror. A company of Warriors and Journeymen are cut to ribbons by an even larger force of Myrkridia. There's nothing you can do about this tragic scene, but you will gain control of your troops soon enough. With the forces of Light in the town square dead, the Myrkridia will disperse around the landscape. Note finally that the Journeymen killed here dropped a stock of healing roots - you'll probably need these after you fight your way into the town square. MAP

2. You will notice a large group of Myrkridia running south to meet your troops. Alric will take care of this threat automatically with his Dispersal Dream - a spell that literally explodes anyone it is cast upon and anyone in that victim's close vicinity. Hence, the spell tends to cause a chain reaction explosion among tightly clumped enemy troops. A good thing to remember, this power must be used wisely, as Alric has only three of these spells on this level. Therefore refrain from using them unless you absolutely must. MAP

3. It is not advisable to walk right into the town square, so you must go either left or right.

4. Note that reinforcements stand waiting on both sides: six Warriors to the East and three Warriors, two Bowmen, and a Dwarf to the west. In a few instances, however, you may not be able to gain control of these troops before Myrkridia cuts them down.

5. Either way you go, you will have to deal with wandering Myrkridia in groups of two or three and the odd Soulless/Fetch patrol. Recall that a mortally wounded Myrkridia will attack his own kind once his health reaches near bottom; use this to your advantage. Only advanced players should try to deal with these beasts using their Dwarves; most should use a combination of Bowmen and swarming Warriors with Alric. You will take losses, but you should be able to make it to the end. Note that Alric is very strong, but not invincible - feel free to use him in combat, but keep a close eye on his health and heal him when necessary. If he dies, your mission fails. MAP
