Journeymen
These gentle healers can fight if necessary, but they are useful mostly for their healing spells.
The heavily shrouded Journeymen are best used lurking behind the fighting troops, ready to come forward and unleash a shower of medical magic. Activate the Journeymen's healing power by pressing the Special Attack Key (T by default) and clicking on the unit you want to heal. Remember that Journeyman units can heal themselves as well. Keep your eyes peeled for scrub brush near riverbanks that can be hacked up for additional healing roots.

character shot Though most players use their Journeymen solely for their magical abilities, they do possess some offensive powers. If all else fails, the hardy Journeyman can hack away, albeit slowly, with his heavy shovel. It's not an A-list attack by any means, but it can ring someone's bell.

But that's not all: Journeymen can use their healing power as an attack. Since many of Soulblighter's units are undead, they can actually be "unhealed" by the application of the Journeyman's spell. Thrall, Ghasts, Soulless, and Wights can all be unhealed. Note that the Journeyman needs a fair amount of time to cast the spell, so you will not be able to use it when an enemy unit is too close. Another use of this same power comes in multiplayer games: The Journeyman can unheal Wights to break them into explosive Pus Packets. These can be picked up and thrown by Ghôls to stun the opposition.

If used skillfully and judiciously, the Journeyman can be a very important part of your army. He is slow, but he has tremendous resilience when attacked.
