You start out with a full-scale battle raging all around you, but stay calm - if you follow these steps, victory will be much easier than you might think. The real key is performing these tasks as fast as you can.

Order the minelayer to start laying mines and tell offensive units to hunt, then have the recycler create an armory before heading to the ridge where the howitzers and walker are launching their attack (you want to begin your attack run on the flank where the turret is located). If you attack the walker first, you'll bring him down easily, but while you're doing that the howitzers are knocking out your power supplies. It's best, but very difficult, to try to bring down both turrets before finishing the walker. If that's what you choose to do, remember to keep moving as you destroy the howitzers to minimize the damage the walker's inflict on you.

You'll need to destroy this walker and the two howitzers shelling your base if you hope to prevent the loss of your gun tower's power supply.

With any luck you'll take out the howitzers and walker and still have a tank to fly back to the base. An American attack wave consisting of scouts and APCs will approach from the north, and these guys are serious - when they get inside the perimeter they come piling out of the transports like gangbusters. If at all possible try to get your offensive units over to that area of the base before they arrive. If not, you'll be faced with the unsavory business of killing Americans running around on foot. They will be followed by bombers and scouts, so stay on your toes. Repelling these attacks will naturally be easier if you are able to take out the howitzers and walker before they destroy your power supplies.

After the initial two waves, there'll be a break in the action - and this is your chance to take the battle to the Americans. If you haven't done it already, upgrade your tank's guns to SP-Stabbers and head out of the base (provided you have a decent amount of hull and ammo) and head toward the northwest. That's the direction from which those capitalist pigs are usually approaching. Should you find yourself outnumbered, head back to the base where the gun towers and any offensive units you've managed to cobble together can cover you until you effect repairs. There's a hangar that will automatically repair you, but it takes a lot of time.

Be prepared for constant American attacks pouring in from the north.

The only thing that will stop the constant attack waves is the destruction of the American recycler, and fortunately that's a task you can handle all by yourself, provided you're in a ship with enough firepower. Head to the northeast and locate the recycler (it'll show up as a target on your radar map if you wait long enough). It's defended by fairly strong forces, but all you have to do to win is destroy it and stay alive for about ten seconds, which is about as long as you'll be airborne should you be forced to eject after it has been eliminated. Feel free to take along a bomber or rocket tank on the attack run if you like, but if you've practiced your combat tactics you can easily take it out alone.
