Red Brigade Missions
Although the Red Brigade missions are supposedly for "experienced commanders," the real challenge is usually more tactical than strategic. The Russian tanks and fighters seem to be more vulnerable to fire than their American counterparts - even weak ships like scouts can put a hurting on you in no time. Watch your hull strength vigilantly and don't hesitate to leave a battle if it looks like your ship is about to be destroyed.
The Golem Ambush When you learn which pass the American convoy is going to use, send the walker to the cutoff and accompany the four turrets there as well. Do not commit your offensive units to a particular exit. Instead, use the four turrets to block the entrance to the pass the Americans are using. When the commander says the Americans are halfway through the pass, wait about 30 more seconds then send your offensive units to the appropriate exit. You'll probably lose most or all of your offensive units against the superior strength of the American convoy, but when they try to flee back to their base they'll get mown down by the turrets and the walker blocking their path.
Deploy the surviving turrets near the walker cutoff point - they'll continue to destroy American units from this location. Quickly build two or three light tanks to defend against a second wave of American fighters entering near the bottom left of the map. It won't take long before they finally stop coming.
Now all you have to do is bide your time, accumulate scrap, and assemble a force consisting of tanks and howitzers. Move in from the west toward the American base using the howitzers to smash turrets, gun towers, power supplies, and factories from long range. It'll take a little while, but eventually you'll wipe out the entire base.
