Fraghouse Invasion v5 Manual
Weapons
Weapons
Main weapons.
Throughout the maps, you will discover a standard weapon set that consists of the following: HV Assault Rifle, Pistol, Spore Rifle, Shotgun, Turbo Laser, Railgun, Mini Rocket Launcher, Razorbomb, Grenade Launcher, Howitzer, Flare Launcher, Laser Rifle and Widowmaker.
These weapons are all fairly powerful but will need to be used strategically against different types of monsters. For example, the Flare Launcher is handy for groups of soldiers because you can load 3 rockets up at once, and the damage more or less matches the toughness of the soldiers. The Railgun is particularly effective against difficult monsters such as the Controller spiders as it has a long range, and you will want to keep away from those critters! The Shotgun is incredibly powerful against any monster, but you have to get fairly close to do noticeable damage. The Grenade Launcher is most effective against enemies that are slow and rarely move (such as Titans), as it is a slow weapon itself.
Special weapons.
Special weapons are harder to come by, and are not always easy to locate. You will typically find them scattered around the maps with no pickup base, and they will occasionally be hidden or in difficult-to-reach locations. Given the strength of these weapons, it is wise to explore the maps fully to try and locate them. Here is a list of the special weapons you should expect to come across:
Riot Shotgun: Incredibly powerful shotgun with limited ammo.
Kalashi Rifle: Durable assault rifle with a deadly alt-fire projectile bomb.
Flamethrower: Toasty! Can weaken enemies very quickly.
BS69 Machine Gun: An all-rounder machine gun with moderate firepower.
Underslinger: An experimental cannon that fires shards of tarydium.
Yichus: An anti-tank cannon adapted for mobile use.
Toyomoto Cannon: Primary launches a chain-rocket, secondary deploys a chain-mine that explodes when an enemy touches it, usually inflicting fatal damage.
Hoover: A ridiculously fast and fairly powerful minigun.
