Map Recon
All Single Player games use the small maps with 16 players (15 bots). Use the chart below to read up on a particular map.
Dalian Plant (PRC vs USMC)
There are only four Capture points on this map, so being able to get to them quickly is the key to victory. The closest Capture Point to both the PRC and the USMC is called the Main Entrance, but this won't be the one that you want to focus your efforts on. The other neutral Capture Point contains the only air vehicle on the map - a helicopter. The helicopter won't spawn until one team has control of the CP, so trying to outright steal it won't work. Getting control of this point and attacking from the air gives you a big advantage. It is a good idea to send the bulk of your force after this Capture Point at the beginning and a small force after the Main Entrance in an effort to secure both. Make sure you hop into vehicles, there is a lot of space to cover for a map with only 16 players, and solitary infantry will quickly be mowed down by the many turrets and vehicles spread throughout the map.
A good idea for soldiers tasked with guarding Capture Points is to go up into the buildings and wait for unsuspecting infantry to come into your range. The building will keep you out of site and give you some protection against the many vehicles that will be zipping around the course.
Medium Map - 32 Players/Large Map - 64 Players
The medium and large versions of this map are very similar to each other, but very different from the small map. The biggest difference is the fact that the USMC must start off shore on an aircraft carrier and attempt to take over the neutral Capture Points on the shore. Like many maps, the key to victory is to establish air dominance.
The USMC must transport their infantry from the aircraft carrier to the shore as quickly as possible; otherwise the PRC will establish control of the bases. Boats, helicopters, and planes are available for taking troops ashore. The fighter jets and attack copter shouldn't be used for transport. Instead, they should be used to patrol the skies and make sure that the rest of the infantry can make it to shore safely. If the USMC can gain a foothold on the shore, the air support should immediately switch to patrolling the skies over the Capture Points and help the rest of the team to win over and control as much of the map as possible.
Troops who are going ashore, remember to spread out your attack. Breaking up into squads that attack from different angles can confuse and surprise your opponents. You might be able to catch them off guard and just march right in to a Capture Point uncontested.
To win, the PRC needs to stop the USMC forces from getting a solid foothold on the shore. Quickly take control of the neutral Capture Point closest to your base. This will give you access to another attack copter which will even the fight. Send all of your air power to patrol the shores to fight the USMC air forces. Don't venture too far out into the ocean. The aircraft carrier is loaded with weapons and will quickly sway the battle in the USMC's favor. The PRC has the advantage in being able to spawn close to Capture Points right from the start. Capture three of them to initiate a ticket drain and hold them against any USMC threats.
Daqing Oilfields (PRC vs USMC)
With only three Capture Points on the map, there isn't much in the means of strategy on this map. Brute force is going to win. Whichever team controls the central Capture Point will initiate a Ticket drain on the opposing team. If it comes down to a race at the beginning, the USMC will probably win due to their proximity to the central CP. For this reason, if you are playing as the PRC, make sure you take the time at the beginning to get your attack force down. Load up in the vehicles and coordinate an organized assault. Remember, the flag capture radius is large enough in the central CP that you can get it from either upstairs on the platform or from inside the structure on the floor.
Medics can play a key role in this battle. The central Capture Point will be the focus of much of the battle. Being able to consistently revive soldiers in the battle zone without waiting the 15 seconds will go a long way towards giving your team the edge.
Don't attempt to attack the final Capture Point until you have fully secured the central one. The enemy base is well guarded and they will have access to all of the powerful vehicles that continuously spawn there. Keep one squad at the central Capture Point, and have another begin at your base and ride into the enemy territory on vehicles so that you are not outgunned.
Medium Map - 32 Players/Large Map - 64 Players
These maps are very similar to the smaller version, except that now each team is given one capture point that can not be converted. Once more, the majority of fighting will take place within the central oil drum area. Quickly take control of the two points that are closest to your main base. Since there are many air support options, one small squad should patrol the skies constantly while another skims around the perimeter in a transport copter to quickly snag any unguarded capture points.
Try to maintain control of at least 3 or 5 (depending on the map size) Capture Points so that your opponent will lose Tickets. To do so, you'll need to set up small forces to defend your Capture Points once you have them. By using the vehicles effectively, you can reallocate where the troops are headed to quickly head off any large scale attacks if you keep constant communication going between squads.
