Air elementals resemble "dust devils," that is, small whirlwinds, but they are much more powerful
Air elementals resemble "dust devils," that is, small whirlwinds, but they are much more powerful. Air elementals take double damage when attacked by earth-based attacks (including by earth elementals). An air elemental may choose either to attack a single opponent, thus receiving one attack per round at the listed damage, or may choose to knock all opponents in a 5' radius to the ground; if the latter attack is used, all creatures of 2 hit dice or less must save vs. Death Ray or fall prone. Creatures of 3 or more levels or hit dice are not so affected. Air elementals do an additional 1d8 points of damage against creatures or vehicles which are airborne.
An air elemental is a funneling cloud of whirling air with a vague semblance of a face. Although it likes to race across the ground, picking up dust and debris as it goes, it can also fly and attack from above.
An air elemental can turn itself into a screaming cyclone, creating a whirlwind that batters creatures even as it flings them away.
Air Elemental
Primal Spirit of Wind and Storm
Energetic spirits from the Elemental Plane of Air, air elementals gather clouds and winds into ever-changing bodies with indistinct limbs and vague features. Beyond their home plane, these elementals might serve magic-users who conjure them, or they might congregate around nexuses of unbridled planar energy, such as wind-scoured mountain peaks or endless storms. In battle, air elementals batter enemies with powerful gusts or transform into whirlwinds to fling away foes.
Air elementals often have distinctive compositions. Roll on or choose a result from the Air Elemental Compositions table to inspire the elemental's appearance.
What can withstand the storm's scream? The lightning's spear? The want of sweet breath? Air is the mightiest of elements—respect its power.
Air Elemental Myrmidon
Elemental myrmidons are elementals conjured and bound by magic into ritually created suits of plate armor. In this form, they possess no recollection of their former existence as free elementals. They exist only to follow the commands of their creators.

Air Elementals are creatures from the Elemental Plane of Air, though they may sometimes be found elsewhere. When encountered on the Prime Material Plane, usually as a result of summoning magic, they take the form of billowing clouds of vapour or dust. Whilst they may understand what is said to them, they rarely respond in kind and their language is that of the wind.

Beings formed of pure, elemental matter (air, earth, fire, or water) that can be summoned from their plane of origin to serve a magic-user.
