Into the Maw of Chaos
The Hammerites have forged a fake Eye for you to swap with the real one if you can catch the Trickster before he uses the Eye to open a rift in the world and unleash his minions upon the unsuspecting populace. Now you must travel into the Trickster's own realm, the Maw of Chaos, and swap the Eye. Easier said then done.

You start off at the beginning of the Maw, a white-tile passage going forward for a bit before leading inexorably downward. A plethora of creatures await you along the path. Don't fight them. Don't even bother. Just run right on by all of them and keep going. Drop a mine or two to discourage them from following. Soon the white tiles will change to just rock, and the passage will open up to a large chamber with flowing lava at the bottom. There is a big drop-off, but a few ledges below. Be prepared to take some damage, but you should be fine. Move along the ledge till you see an opening and go in.

A ton of creatures await you on the Maw. Do yourself a favor and just run right around them.

The next few chambers will be interesting. This series of rooms has bunches of blue crystals on the floor that cause damage as soon as you touch them. That wouldn't be too bad, but unfortunately they happen to be situated on fields of ice, which makes control difficult, to say the least. Move across the first ice field, get back on rock, then go downward a bit to the second ice field. This will be tricky, as it is a steep slope peppered with blue crystals and you'll be sliding down very fast. (If you hit a crystal at the bottom you will probably die.)

Once you survive this encounter, go to the right and move to the next room - watch out for the fire elemental. Cross the bridge over the lava, then move across the next chamber and down a steep ramp. The ramp quickly turns into another steep slope that starts off as rock and turns into ice with more crystals. Turn right at the bottom and move on.
