This level is a twisted mix of the futuristic and gothic. The rooms are quite tight thus ensuring that the action is frantic. You will have to be on your gaurd here, and with six players the game play can become very frantic indeed. In the basement area can be found the Chain Lightning gun. The area is flooded to ankle level with water, just deep enough (if you crouch and look down) to disperse a charge from the Chain gun and fry everybody who happens to be standing in the water at the time. Always good for a laugh!
The Gravity Well can be found on a platform just above a pool of radioactive slime. Many players just find this item too tempting to resist, lurking in the vicinity with a rocket launcher and / or airfist will gain you plenty of frags here.

A grim world of stone and steel. Mephisto's hold is set out over three levels, all accessible via a central shaft. The Dragon is very useful for getting around and the concentration of action towards the centre makes Gravity Welling often very successful.
The Gravity Well is secreted in a water filled chamber from which there is but only one exit, this can make life very difficult if it is a busy game and you want that well!
A good tactic is to try and gain control of the uppermost level, there is plenty of health, ammo and armour; enough to rain rocket death on those down below.

From Old Sparky the ancient electric chair to the demon at the bottom of the pit.

What twisted mind called this place home is anybody's guess. Those not favoured suffered a grim fate, sacrificed upon an alter of pain, their bodies then discarded into an unearthly pit. Much blood has been spilt here.
Which, of course, makes it an absolutely perfect place for deathmatch mayhem! Watch out, there's trouble around the corner!

This area is an abandoned fortress used in the ancient days to keep the villagers at bay while the kings would torture and beat the naysayers into submission. There are many secret passageways throughout the walls of the Obscured that were used to escape the brutality.
As you run towards the exits, you may think you're almost out of this place, but if you don't watch your step, you could be one of the unlucky few who join the others in the lava stew.

Nestled atop a distant mountain lies the monastry known as Spear Point. Founded by a secluded sect of monks who were really into Quake Deathmatching.
It was designed to provide the right environment to hone their skills to perfection.
Unfortunately it proved impossible to get mains electricity at such a remote location and solar panels just didn't provide the juice for their 128 player network. There was only one thing to do ... deathmatch for real ....Ahem
Watch out for those secret areas and secluded items - they may just give you the advantage!

'You don't have to be suicidal to work here but it helps!' The not so charming motto of those employed to run the place. Well they did until somebody dropped a Gravity Well from the top of the building, by then it was all over.
You just can't get the staff these days.
A tip, sometimes a quick dip in the slime is not all bad ...

One of PainKeep Arena's smaller maps, pack it with players for intense PKA carnage!

This is what we like to call a crowd pleaser. The classic PainKeep map has been converted by the original author to PainKeep Arena and has been updated to include the latest gadgets of pain. It's an old school frag fest that some call one of the best Deathmatch maps known to Painkeep.

Research tells us this facility was used as an endandered species sanctuary. You'll find such deadly critters as Sharks, Spiders and poisonous fish hiding in various parts of The Stronghold, and these guys haven't been fed in quite a while.
So as your fighting for your life against the bear traps and auto sentrys, don't get to close to the critters. They just might bite!

Another classic PainKeep map converted to PainKeep Arena.
Harlequin's demise lies deep within the very heart of the keep - literally.

An excellent map utilizing the glorious colors of grey. The towers are there to help you find the weapons you need to compete, and the highs and lows of the playing field allow you to get a birds eye view of your enemies before blasting a hole through their head with your Magnum, but be careful.
This ain't Ringling Brothers here. There are no nets used in PainKeep Arena, so if you step off the edge.
You're a gonner for sure.

What's on the other side? If up to you to find out where the hidden doors are to bring you glory and fame. Can you get to the top and grab the gravity well? Can you swim through the lava? Can you bounce out of a tough situation? The answer to these questions is yes.
You might ask yourself, but how do I accomplish these goals? We'll provide you with all the answers, once you reach us on the other side...

Set amongst the cold barren rock of a natural harbour lies Techno Station; or as its now long dead occupants used to call it - the Graveyard of the Mind. There is little here for the casual tourist, just bring a Rocket Launcher and some spare ammo.
For those Quad hogs among you, just remember to duck unless you want to be crushed, yeah life is tough sometimes.

What's that smell? It's the smell of an old internment camp used in the great war. You're fighting amongst the souls of the dead in an eerie environment filled with tight turns and plenty of room to get a running start before dropping a Gravity Well and hiding around the corner.
Will you have the stamina to survive a furious fire fight among the Presence of Death? We wish you luck.

This dilapidated keep tells us the story of rejection and contempt for our fellow man. There were thousands upon thousands of tortured souls who perished in Scorn. Once you've become engulfed by the hypnotic alure of Scorn, you are a gonner.

This isn't so much a location, it's a state of mind. It's the feeling of flying through the air while hammering rockets onto your opponents cranium from above. It's the feeling of placing bear traps onto darkened hallways knowing full well that your enemies can't easily see them.
It's the feeling of dropping a gravity well and airfisting people into the room with it. Ah.. Deguello.. What a great feeling! Come share the rush!

There is definitely no parking available here. Just outside Team Evolve's offices in downtown 'somewhere' the lot has been turned over to DM practise. Sargeant Hulka seems to be moonlighting as a shop keeper and making a tidy profit to boot.
There are no extra points for fragging pedestrians ...

Deep. The first mining outpost established upon Mars. It's inhabitants were making a good living, reaching ever further into the planets crust, seeking the crystals that would make them rich. They delved too deep.
The main lift shaft still functions, but I would not go down there if I were you ...

The space station map with a faulty electrical system. You never know when the gravity is going to be on or off. Quad power isn't what it used to be, and where is Fudgie? Those are all questions you will be asking yourself after playing this map adorned with small tributes to the master of horror, John Carpenter.

The End is in sight, the last arena for the battle hardened. Pure and simple DeathMatch, no where to run, no where to hide. Set in an abandoned industrial facility, this area has been sealed off from the outside world. It is said that to win in this arena requires the utmost skill and aggression.
There is rumoured to be a secret room that holds a great prize, and many have died trying to reach it. The desire for power can be such a distraction.
