An Unexpected Connection
Continue building turrets until you have five or six of them lined up as a curtain of firepower in the corridor used by the Soviet fighters, then recycle the armory and sit tight until you have a nice stockpile of scrap (at least 25 units). Construct a factory and start building tanks and light tanks until you have at least six total, then begin recycling the scavengers as they return with scrap. This will give you more pilots as well as scrap to build more tanks. Finally, recycle the factory itself, assign three tanks to guard the recycler, then take it and all offensive units to Nav Beacon 1.
Line up the turrets to form a deadly crossfire guarding the entrance to the volcano, then take all the tanks not guarding the recycler into the volcano. There will likely be Soviet turrets there, and chances are good you'll get blown out of your own tank, but your forces should quickly overwhelm the defenses. Bring the recycler down into the volcano and send the tanks not defending it out to the Nav Beacon. There will be one or two attack waves consisting of fighters and tanks, but your turrets - aided by the tanks you've sent outside the volcano - should cut them to ribbons. This is an extremely difficult mission, so it might take you several attempts to succeed, even if you follow this strategy, but after playing it more than a dozen times this looks to be the best approach for victory.
